Belinda CiprianoEastern Reporter

PERTH foodies are salivating at the return of Taste of Perth at Langley Park on Friday, April 29.

The three-day event, now in its third year, will feature chefs and restaurants in Perth, along with the who’s who of the local dining scene, providing something for everyone from fine dining to sustainable eating.

A Taste of Perth spokesperson said visitors to the event would experience the culinary delights of Perth’s hottest restaurants, as well as get the chance to take part in hands-on cooking masterclasses.

“The festival operates like a restaurant with a lunch and dinner service,” the spokesperson said.

“Each restaurant will showcase their culinary skills and a selection of their signature dishes.

“A Taste session lasts for four to five hours to give visitors time to pick their restaurant dishes, browse and shop and enjoy some of the many attractions.”

There will also be a wide range of stalls from local artisan producers, live music and entertainment, plus expert whisky and wine tastings from WA wineries.

A pop-up designer kitchen and dining space called Electrolux Chefs’ Secrets will feature some of Perth’s culinary superstars, such as Hadleigh Troy from Restaurant Amusé, Scott Bridger from Bib and Tucker, Joel Valvasori from Lalla Rookh and Robert Murphy from Bistro Guillaume.

The space will give Perth foodies a chance to get up close and personal with the chefs while learning cooking secrets and kitchen hacks from them at the same time.

A Friday lunch session run with the City of Perth will also enable city workers to experience the best of Perth’s dining scene in the outdoor setting of Langley Park.

The festival runs in cities around the world, including London, Cape Town, Amsterdam, Dubai, Milan, Paris and Hong Kong.
