Great cars turn up on coffee run
COLLECTOR cars are things of beauty, nostalgia and love, and more than 300 such affected folk turned up at the recent Classic Cars and Coffee gathering in UWA’s riverside car park.
Even the coffee van was a feature: it was a mid-1960s Citroen Hvan, a standout in vanworld and very much sought after these days.
The one at the meeting had been specially imported.
The 200 cars on display ranged from W O Bentleys to an NSU TT, with Mustangs, Healeys, Alfa Romeos, Lancias, Porsches, a DKW Sonderklasse and Jaguars among the mix of vehicles.
“It was a good day,” Classic Cars and Coffee organiser Paul Blank said.
“It had a really good atmosphere.
“And great weather.”
