THE Formula Fords provided the closest racing at the CAMS WA championships at Barbagallo Raceway last Sunday, with Peter Major winning all three heats, but by just fractions of a second.
Major, in a Stealth, took the first race from Tayla Dicker and her brother, Sam, also in Stealths, with just 0.0016 of a second separating first from third.
In the second heat, Sam took second place, with Callan Williams third in a Van Diemen, and had another second place in the final race, with Nick Mitic third, also Van Diemen-mounted.
Another triple win came in the Sports Sedans, where Ron Moller dominated in his Camaro and in the Saloons, Rick Gill had two victories in his Falcon, with Grant Johnson taking the third race in his Commodore.
Reuben Romkes, in a Monaro, won two of the Improved Production Car heats and the third went to Dion Panizza in a Commodore.
Grant Gellen emerged as the under 2.0litre winner in his black Escort MkI.
