SKODA has introduced its new Octavia range, bringing fresh new looks, a raft of the latest technologies and a simplified model line-up.
Available in ‘liftback’-style sedan and wagon format, the new range is Octavia and Octavia Sport, with a 110kW turbocharged petrol engine, and its performance hero, the Octavia RS, with an upgraded 169kW turbocharged petrol engine, previously featured in the limited edition RS230, as well as a 135kW diesel engine.
The Scout is not part of the new line-up.
The new Octavia range carries over an armada of standard equipment from the recently upgraded Octavia, including front assist with city emergency brake, fatigue detection, multi-collision brake, adaptive cruise control, alloy wheels, floor mats and the ‘Simply Clever’ package, featuring a double-sided mat in the luggage compartment, a mobile phone holder and a waste bin in the driver’s door.
The new Octavia has an updated front-end with a new dual headlight design and its ‘Trius’ alloy wheels gives it a stylish stance.
There are 12 variants available, with the entry 110TSI six-speed manual starting from $23,490, climbing to $43,990 for the RS 135TDI six-speed DSG wagon.
