Aldi recruitment drive for Western Australian supermarket expansion

GERMAN discount supermarket chain Aldi is recruiting more than 400 jobs for its first WA stores opening this year.

Applications are open for trainee store manager and retail assistant positions, with recruitment closing on January 29.

A second round of recruitment will be held later in the year.

Aldi has already filled 45 store manager and assistant store manager positions for its new locations.

“We’re delighted to see such strong enthusiasm from the Western Australian public to join the Aldi business,” Aldi WA managing director Viktor Jakupec said.

Community Newspaper Group has previously reported that Aldi stores were expected to open this year at Mirrabooka, Wattle Grove, Harrisdale, Kwinana, Ellenbrook, Morley, South Lake, Mandurah and more.

Other confirmed locations include Cannington, Southern River, Halls Head, Rockingham, Midland, Australind, Joondalup, Butler and Mundaring.
