St John Ambulance’s Andrew Moffat is a top young volunteer

Chief executive Tony Ahern said volunteers were a vital component of St John.

“We receive tremendous support from more than 4500 volunteers who donate more than 3.5 million hours to the community every year under the St John banner,” he said.

“These awards serve to thank and acknowledge the people who give up their time and energy in service to the community.”

Mr Ahern said Andrew had given six years of solid service to Event Health Services while completing his degree in medicine.

“He is a key member of our team, taking a lead role in supporting some of the biggest events in the state in the past 12 months,” he said.
