Australian Hearing bus offers free checks in Balga

Staff WriterEastern Reporter

THE Australian Hearing bus will be offering free hearing checks for adults at Leisurepark Balga on Monday.

Australian Hearing Morley manager Julie Faulkner said that because age-related hearing loss developed gradually, it was common for people to overlook warning signs that their hearing was diminishing.

“One in six Australians is affected by hearing loss,” she said.

“With an ageing population this is expected to increase to one in four by 2050.

“A hearing check is a quick and easy way to measure the sounds you can and can’t hear.

“Our team will also be on hand to guide you through what next steps you may have to take in regard to your hearing.”

The bus will be at the Leisurepark on the corner of Princess Road and Camberwell Road, Balga from 9am to 2pm on December 10.

Hearing checks are open to anyone aged 18 or older, and appointments are not necessary.
