AVELEY teen Alannah Joy Reberger has achieved her dream of becoming a national finalist in the Australian Supermodel of the Year.

The 16-year-old, who placed in the top three for the teen model category, will travel to Bali in February for the national competition.

Since launching her modelling career three years ago, she has been coached by internationally acclaimed photographer Peter Coulson, published on the cover of three USA magazines and won the national title at the Miss Teen Fashion Week Australia 2018.

Reberger said she felt an “overwhelming sense of gratitude” towards family and friends for their constant love and support.

“As this would be a culmination of my determination, courage and commitment over the past three years, it will be a dream come true,” she said.

“My preparation is to eat healthy, to exercise, to laugh regularly and avoid all forms of negativity.”

Reberger aimed to “be natural” and stay true to herself during the competition.

“I believe it’s our individual diversity that’s our individual strength,” she said.

“I have adopted this philosophy by being the best of who I am.

“Modelling places me out of my comfort zone, as inwardly I’m a shy person, but when I’m in front of a camera or on the catwalk, it brings the best out in me.”

After she graduates from Holy Cross College, she hoped to continue developing her modelling portfolio in preparation for the international modelling arena.

Her goal for 2019 was to be signed by an international modelling agency.
