A BALGA youth dance group held an inaugural all styles dance battle competition on June 24.
VanGuard Youth Group worked with WazUpp to create the ‘Back to the Streets’ event to provide positive events for young people in Balga, Mirrabooka and surrounding suburbs.
Eight teams consisted of three members competed in knockout rounds.
Conquerors Crew, the winning team, was awarded $500 prize money.

The next Back to the Streets Dance Battle event is planned for the next school term.
VanGuard Youth Group held dance nights every Friday at 6.30pm during the school term at Balga Community Centre.
