Bali flights cancelled on Friday after change in conditions

JETSTAR has cancelled flights out of Bali on Friday after a sudden change in volcanic ash conditions.

“There has been a sudden change in today‚Äôs forecast and volcanic ash is expected to affect flying conditions at Denpasar Airport later today,” a Jetstar statement read.

“As a result, some of our flights planned for today have been cancelled.

We are contacting affected customers on cancelled flights directly and will automatically rebook you once flights resume.

“Our senior pilots will make further assessment tonight and tomorrow morning based on the latest information from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre.

“We will provide customers an update if the situation changes.”

Jetstar will provide another update at 4pm Perth time.
