THE Hepburn Avenue extension project from two lanes to four in Ballajura was completed last month.

The City of Swan and the State Government’s construction works started in January.

Mayor Mick Wainwright said the section of road between Alexander and Bellefin drives was now a dual carriage way.

“This section of road has been at capacity for some time, so the upgrade will make a big difference to the more than 17,000 vehicles travelling on it every day,” he said.

Councillor Adam Kovalevs said the $3.9 million dollar project, funded by the State Government and City of Swan, had been completed on time and on budget.

“The number of vehicles using this road is only expected to grow with the planned construction of NorthLink WA and our growing population, so the upgrade could not have come at a better time,” he said.
