Perth home ‘intruder’ charged

POLICE have charged an Ellenbrook man after he fell through the ceiling at a Ballajura home.

The man allegedly broke into an Illawarra Crescent South home about 8pm on June 11 while the occupants were inside.

Police took him into custody and he was taken to hospital for assessment.

The occupants were not injured.

Police allege the man barricaded himself inside the home.

Ballajura police charged the 46-year-old man with aggravated burglary and commit, stealing, stealing a motor vehicle and drives without consent in relation to the home invasion and other offences in Malaga.

He will appear before Midland Magistrates Court on June 13.

Inquiries by Ballajura police are ongoing.
