Ballajura Library charts amazing growth in 25 years

Swan Mayor Mick Wainwright said more than 17,500 people had signed up to the library in the last five years – it has grown faster than the suburb’s population.

“Once upon a time libraries were just a quiet place you went to borrow or read a book,” he said.

“But our libraries are now so much more, with activities, support services and resources.”
