Ballajura man charged over Hay St assaults

PERTH Detectives have charged a Ballajura man for allegedly assaulting two men on Hay Street last month.

The 24-year-old was allegedly involved in an argument with two men about 2am on July 9.

A 33-year-old man suffered a broken jaw and required surgical treatment while a 29-year-old man was knocked unconscious and suffered concussion.

During their investigation, detectives identified that the Ballajura man was allegedly linked to the street gang Brothers 4 Life.

With the help of the Gang Crime Squad, detectives arrested and charged the man with grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning bodily harm on August 22.

He appeared before Perth Magistrates Court today.
