Cr Gangell said his role was yet to be determined and would assess his position after it was confirmed.

“At this stage I am fully intending that I continue my role as the Mayor of the Town of Bassendean,” he said.

“In all reality, it would be a potential position with Minister Roberts but until I know what is occurring, I cannot advise any further.”
