A BASSENDEAN resident is “disappointed” over unresolved parking issues at Hyde Retirement Village.
The Town of Bassendean councillors’ decision in April was influenced by a passionate address from village resident Inez Minc (94).
Three months ago, Ms Minc voiced her concerns about the lack of car park lots around the retirement village.
Since then, Ms Minc said she had sold her car and bought a scooter but remained “disappointed” that no changes had been made.
“They sent people to do some measurements but in actual fact they have not actually done anything practical,” she said.
“I have done my bit… the council has done nothing and I am not wasting my breath going through it all again.”
The village on James Street had eight car bays designated for 31 units.
Councillors voted to hold investigations for additional bays.
Bassendean chief executive Bob Jarvis said staff were still evaluating the solution and when completed it would come back to council.
