Bayswater bridge struck for the seventh time in 2018

THE Bayswater bridge was hit by a truck this morning, just one month after it was last hit.

The bridge, which has a 3.8m clearance, had been struck seven times so far this year.

It was last hit on June 19.

As part of the proposed Bayswater train station upgrade, the station is proposed to be moved onto a new lifted rail bridge over King William Street, which will replace the existing rail bridge.
