BAYSWATER-based ECHO Community Services has announced the appointment of Jonathan Smith as its new chief executive, who takes over from Phil Baker.

“Phil has championed an excellent level of care for ECHO clients, putting the organisation in a good position to face the challenges ahead,” he said.

“(He) has conducted a thorough handover during the last two months of 2017, and will remain with ECHO to work on strategically important projects for the first half of 2018.

“This has allowed Mr Smith to develop the plan to implement the Board’s new ‘3.E’ strategy.”
