Bayswater, Maylands, Morley and Noranda groups encouraged to apply for event funding

COMMUNITY groups and businesses can apply for up to $40,000 funding for potential events in the Bayswater, Maylands, Morley and Noranda town centres.

City of Bayswater has released its second round of funding for major events held between July and December.

Mayor Dan Bull said events provided a place for people to catch up with friends and “feel connected” to the community.

“The City has many different cultures and it would be great to see a multicultural event that reflects our community,” he said.

“Our retail centres are more than just shops, they are at the very heart of community life.

“Here in Bayswater we are incredibly lucky to have a number of vibrant retail centres each with its own identity and we are keen to fund events that help to build on that vibrancy for our community to enjoy.”

Groups and businesses have until March 9 to submit expressions of interests.
