Bayswater: Rainbow Butterfly to take kids on National Children’s Week adventure

RAINBOW Butterfly Rebecca Flanagan will take children on a science-based musical storytelling adventure, as part of the City of Bayswater’s National Children’s Week events.

The City’s libraries are hosting free outdoor rhymetime and storytime sessions, play time and giant games from October 19 to 28.

Ms Flanagan, who owns Musical Experiences For Children, will be running the Adventures with Rainbow Butterfly Show featuring little garden creatures at Bayswater Library on October 26 from 10.30am to 11.15am.

“I love to nurture children’s imaginations and curiosity through my playful musical storytelling,” she said.

“My own four-year-old daughter loves discovering all the wonders of the natural world and constantly asks me to tell her stories.”

She said the week was a time to celebrate children and highlight advocacy for their right to enjoy a happy childhood.

Mayor Dan Bull encouraged kids to “get back to basics and be themselves”.
