Bayswater Waves and Galleria Shopping Centre hit waterwise gold standard

BAYSWATER Waves and Galleria Shopping Centre were among businesses and organisations acknowledged for their water efficiency this week.

Water Minister Dave Kelly congratulated the state’s most water efficient businesses for saving more than 12 billion litres of water last year through the Water Corporation’s waterwise programs.

Morley’s Galleria Shopping Centre and Embleton’s Bayswater Waves Aquatic Centre were awarded a Gold Waterwise Business award for a water efficiency improvement of 35-50 per cent in 2015-16.

The cities of Bayswater and Stirling and Town of Bassendean were also acknowledged at the Waterwise Business Recognition breakfast.

The City of Bayswater was named a Gold Waterwise Council for its progress towards best practice sustainable water management, or achievement above and beyond the actions required for endorsement.

Bassendean and Stirling were newly endorsed as Waterwise Councils.
