The club had been training in the indoor pool for nine months while the refurbishment works took place during the winter season.

Bayswater Mayor Dan Bull said the council’s investment in the aquatic centre would ensure that it remained popular with families for many years to come.

“I’m really pleased to be able to report that we have completed testing of all of the equipment and all of the final approvals are now in place for the reopening of the 50m outdoor pool at Bayswater Waves,” he said.

“The water is looking crystal clear and really inviting, so I’m looking forward to seeing it being used and enjoyed by the community.

“The refurbishment represents part of council’s commitment to invest $10 million over ten years to upgrade Bayswater Waves.

“The pool is open now, so get along and give it a go.”
