THE man accused of murdering five members of a family in Bedford has appeared in Perth Magistrates Court, via video link from Karratha Magistrates Court.
Anthony Robert Harvey was charged with the murders of Mara Lee Harvey (41), twins Beatrix May Harvey (2) and Alice Ester Harvey (2), and Charlotte Kate Harvey (3) on September 3.
He is also accused of murdering grandmother Beverly Ann Quinn (74) on September 4.

In court, the accused said “I understand” after each charge was read out and appeared to show no emotion while charges were read out.
Magistrate Joe Randazzo proposed the accused be remanded in custody to reappear at the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on September 19.
Mr Harvey’s lawyer Max Crispe agreed for his client to appear via video link.
Mr Harvey was reminded he had the right to make a bail application with the Supreme Court.
