Beechboro: three people charged over car crash into house

POLICE have charged three people who were allegedly in a car that crashed into a house after a police chase in Beechboro yesterday.

Investigators allege the Holden sedan failed to stop for police about 2.20pm on Cossom Way in Bayswater.

A police spokeswoman said officers followed the car for a short time before terminating the pursuit.

“Shortly after, the car crashed into a house on Amazon Drive in Beechboro, causing damage to the house and substantial damage to the car,” she said.

One person, believed to be the alleged driver, fled the scene, while four people were trapped in the car.

The driver is yet to be located.

Police charged a 33-year-old Scarborough woman, who remains in Royal Perth Hospital, with more than 15 offences including reckless driving to escape police, an offence that carries a mandatory jail term if convicted.

A 32-year-old Nollamara man was charged with three offences including vehicle theft.

A 21-year-old Wembley woman was charged with vehicle theft.
