Beechboro: woman taken against her will from her home

POLICE canine, helicopter and tactical response units were called to Beechboro after a woman was held against her will at a house last Thursday.

Just after 10am, police received information a woman was being held at Small Street in Beechboro and deployed local police, the canine unit, the Police Air Wing and the tactical response group.

She left the house shortly afterwards.

She was not injured but an ambulance was called due to her distress. An Alexander Heights man (42) was charged with possession of a firearm under aggravated circumstances, possession of an unlicensed firearm and prohibited drugs.
