Bennett Springs: Cambodian Welfare and Cultural Centre receives grant for new building

THE Cambodian Welfare and Cultural Centre of WA in Bennett Springs has been granted $20,000 from the State Government for a stormwater tank, as part of new community building.

West Swan MLA Rita Saffioti presented the grant on March 16, following a State Election commitment.

The new facilities will allow the centre to expand its programs and improve the delivery of services.

The centre provides education services to the Cambodian community and the wider population.

Ms Saffioti said the work that the centre undertook was important in promoting multiculturalism and understanding of the Cambodian culture in WA.
