BASSENDEAN bike riders will be treated to activities and a free movie at the Bike Love Festival next week.
The festival will be held at BIC Reserve and the Telethon Community Cinemas on March 18 from 5.30pm.
It is part of the State Government and Town of Bassendean’s Your Move program, which helps the community find ways to get more active by riding a bike, walking or catching public transport.

Department of Transport active transport and safety acting director Michelle Prior said the free event was part of Bike Week celebrations in Bassendean.
“Bike Week events like this are a great opportunity for residents to get outside, explore the community and give bike riding a go. Those who do ride down will be able to use the valet bike parking that will be provided,” she said.
Mayor Renee McLennan, who said she would ride to the event with her family, encouraged other residents to walk and ride to the reserve.
