Bin delay due to South Australian accident

Bayswater Mayor Sylvan Albert said despite the City being affected it was paramount the safety of workers and truck drivers come first.

‘We supported all efforts to ensure that works undertaken by Transpacific Cleanaway on behalf of the City were carried out in a safe manner,’ he said.

Bassendean Mayor John Gangell echoed Cr Albert’s sentiments and thanked the community for their patience and understanding during the time.

‘Cleanaway booked with external workshops to have the majority of the fleet inspected,’ he said. ‘It caused minimal disruptions with Cleanaway working late to collect the outstanding (bins).’

The councils were two of 13 WA councils to be impacted by the accident.
