Staff WriterEastern Reporter

POLICE say a bushfire that threatened lives and homes in Dianella yesterday was suspicious.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services issued a ‘watch and act’ alert for the blaze, which was reported at 4.20pm and started near the intersection of Gay Street and Dianella Drive.

Investigators wish to speak to the owner of an old brown-coloured sedan that has been seen in the vicinity for the past few months.
