Bushfire contained at Perth reserve

THE Department of Fire and Emergency Services crews have extinguished a bushfire at Success Hill Reserve in Bassendean.

The fire was reported at 11.11am this morning.

DFES has issued an all clear advice for people in the vicinity of the reserve in the northeastern part of Bassendean.

It has advised the fire is being treated as suspicious.

People are advised to remain vigilant in case the situation changes.

Firefighters are monitoring the area.

A WA Police spokeswoman said police had no specific details about the fire.

“As with any fire where it is not readily identified that the cause was accidental, anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” she said.

Drivers are urged to drive slowly with caution due to smoke and emergency services personnel working in the area.

Roads have not been closed.
