Car goes up in flames at Morley service station

FIREFIGHTERS have extinguished a car blaze at a petrol station in Morley.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel from Malaga and Kiara stations were called to the fire at the Woolworths fuel outlet on Russell Street at 2.16pm.

It was reported under control at 3.07pm and out at 3.41pm.

A section of Walter Road has been reopened and part of Morley Drive was also closed to traffic.

“The car has been removed on to a tow truck,” a DFES spokeswoman said.
