The performance will appear at The Stables at the Perth Cultural Centre and features “cameos” from Colin Firth, Drew Barrymore, Helen Mirren, Kevin Bacon, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Leonardo di Caprio.

Scarborough actress Amy Russotti was asked to perform a reading at the Velvet Lounge last year, before Nollamara writer and director Tyler Jacob Jones suggested he pen an original piece.

“We spent a whole day Googling erotic celebrity fan fiction, we read some wonderful Justin Bieber stories, some great One Direction stories, we found out there’s erotic fan fiction for Home Improvement and The Nanny,” Jones said.

Russotti said they came up with a story about One Direction’s Harry Styles meeting the Human Centipede that was such a hit they decided to develop the concept into an entire production.

Jones, founder of Holland St Productions that presented award-winning Point and Shoot: A New Comedy in 2014, said the musical used celebrity sexual fantasies to tell the story of a woman who was a secret fan fiction writer; “someone who is living a double life”.

“Essentially it’s a musical comedy about imaginary sex with famous strangers and a woman with a very active fantasy life, trying to reconcile that with her normal life,” he said.

“All of these stories are enacted live on stage and intercut with the story of the woman writing them.”

An onstage trio called Sex Thesaurus help to tell the story that features songs including One Erection and Best Friends with Madonna.

Russotti said her favourite number was Captain Keanu Versus the Monster Cocks, which was set in space and starred Keanu Reeves.
