GETTING a drink at the Morley Ale House could help the Leukaemia Foundation.
Bartender Justin Scarvaci is participating in the Foundation’s U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year campaign, asking patrons to donate to the charity.
He is one of 100 hospitality employees participating in the program in WA which, Leukaemia Foundation general manager Andrew York said, aims to raise $1.4 million for regional families.
‘With treatment ranging from months to years, families can suddenly find themselves in crippling financial circumstances,’ he said.
‘We help by providing accommodation free of charge for as long as they need it.
‘Every $80 raised by an U.G.L.Y Bartender gives one of these families a place to call home for a night.’
