City of Bayswater rangers to increase bicycle patrols in riverside locations

CITY of Bayswater rangers will be patrolling around riverside locations including Bardon Park and Riverside Gardens on two new bicycles.

Rangers will be targeting littering and responsible pet ownership during their bicycle patrols.

Mayor Dan Bull said the bicycles would help rangers respond quicker.

“The City of Bayswater is set over a 10km stretch of the Swan River, most of which is not accessible by car,” he said.

“Using bicycles instead of cars means the rangers are more visible and approachable to the community, plus it’s a much more environmentally-friendly way to get around the City’s sensitive natural areas.”
