City of Bayswater staffers take part in World’s Greatest Shave

CITY of Bayswater staff members shaved and coloured their hair and beards as part of the World’s Greatest Shave this morning.

Customer services officer Bronwyn Mollet, the only woman who shaved her head, was the first of six staffers who did the shave.

Curly Sue’s Wigs and Hairpieces in Morley came down to the City’s civic centre to run their scissors, shavers and hair dye through 18 staff members’ heads and chins.

Chief executive Andrew Brien, who coloured his beard, said it was fantastic to see his staff supporting the Leukaemia Foundation’s initiative.

“The World’s Greatest Shave is a cause close to many of our hearts, and the City is proud to be a part of this year’s fundraising efforts,” he said.

“I’d like to thank everyone involved for getting so many people on board, particularly those who were brave enough to go the full length of shaving their heads.”

Funds raised went towards the Leukaemia Foundation.
