THE City of Bayswater has supported a Maylands temple for its Buddha’s birthday celebrations next year.

Buddha’s Light International Association of WA, based at Fo Guang Shan Temple in Maylands, will host its annual multicultural festival at Supreme Court Gardens in Perth.

Mayor Barry McKenna said celebrating Buddha’s birthday was an important part of the association’s yearly events calendar.

“We want to help support this festival, which has its roots in the City of Bayswater,” he said.
