Constable Care launch Control Freak to help young people

A NEW anti-domestic violence education program was launched in Maylands this week.

The Constable Care Child Safety Foundation’s Theatrical Response Group has created Control Freak, a theatrical performance aimed at addressing social issues affecting WA teenagers.

Young people can develop and rehearse responses to social scenarios such as isolation, cyber bullying, peer pressure, alcohol, drugs and domestic violence.

Foundation chief executive David Gribble said the education was intended to help prevent horrific domestic violence crimes seen in WA.

Meanwhile, work continues on the state’s first road and transport safety school, to be run by Constable Care in Maylands.
