COOL Breeze food van has been approved to serve in Bayswater’s Riverside Gardens for another year.
Bayswater City Council approved the van to operate for another 12 months at the site with the same conditions including connection to the City’s power supply, something not in accordance with council criteria.
The popular food van has been operating at Riverside Gardens since December 2012 and in June 2013 the City approved the installation of bunting, a bay allocated for the kiosk and connection to the City’s power.
In February 2015, council approved another 12-months trading, but refused to support connection to the power supply, an advertising sign, overnight parking and a storage lease.
Nearly 2000 community members fought against the decision and signed a petition that caused council to approve overnight parking and power connection.
