Cullacabardee death: police want information after man dies in roadside incident

POLICE are seeking information about an incident near Cullacabardee on Wednesday night in which a man died.

About 9pm a late 1970s model light metallic blue Holden HZ ute was parked on the side of Beechboro Road North.

Police believe the driver had pulled over and the vehicle had become bogged in sand.

The driver, a 47-year-old man, was found near the vehicle with serious injuries.

Police provided first aid until ambulance officers arrived and took over but he was unable to be revived.

It is believed the man may have tried to flag down a passing car and been struck by a vehicle.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the ute parked on Beechboro Road North.
