Teaching at The Performance Company Morley, Pizzino said although he was missing the show already, he was happy to be back in Perth.
I am missing the show, especially after seeing Bindi win, but it was time to move on, he said.
Settling in to Perth took a little while. I remember getting off the plane with seven suitcases thinking what am I doing?
But it is the best choice Ive made and Im absolutely loving it.
The Highgate resident said he was loving teaching students in his hometown and was particularly enjoying teaching bridal couples, who were perfecting dances for their special day.
Theyre doing some crazy stuff out there, he said.
Theyre doing costume changes, weve done James Bond themes, the whole Dirty Dancing thing, we are doing flash mobs and Im really enjoying creating that moment with the couples.
As for his favourite memories on the show, Pizzino said it was all about his dancing partners.
I got to dance with 10 beautiful women, he said. I speak some of them on a daily basis and one of my biggest moments on the show was dancing with Lynne McGranger – she was an absolute star. The show is not about being the best dancer for me.
I dont care if I get a partner who cant dance as long as they give you 110 per cent and they want to do it and Lynne, Kylie Gillies and Kerri-Anne Kennerley were just devoted to the show.
It was special for them, which made it special for us.
