Day thanks organ donors

Dorine’s family made the decision to donate his organs after the 11-year-old died two years ago, helping transform the lives of about four people.

The national day was designed to acknowledge organ and tissue donors and their families, with one organ and tissue donor able to help up to more than 10 people.

Australians are also encouraged to register their donation decision on the Australian Organ Donor Register and discuss their decision with loved ones.
