A PROPOSED Mirrabooka apartment building is being reduced to four storeys.
The $10 million five-storey apartment and commercial complex on Sudbury Road was approved in January but applicant MacCormac Architects sought changes to the design at the Metro North-West Development Assessment Panel meeting on July 18.
The panel endorsed its application to reduce the building height to four storeys and reduce the number of units from 42 to 31.
MacCormac Architects director Kym MacCormac said the developer was committed to the area and spent “considerable time” exposing the proposal to market.
He said it was a difficult market but the current levels of pre-sales would allow them to start construction, which was planned for early August.
