This warning follows another warning of dog poisoning in July.

“If you walk your dogs in this area, please keep them on a leash to prevent them from eating anything suspicious,” the warning on Facebook read.

“If you have CCTV footage that might show activity in the park, we’d like to see it.”

Intentional baiting is a serious offence under the Animal Welfare Act 2002, with penalties of fines up to $50,000 or imprisonment for up to five years.
