Dog dumped in Noranda

RSPCA WA wants to find the man who dumped an injured dog suffering burns in a box at a Noranda vet clinic.

Chief inspector Amanda Swift said the organisation was appealing to the public for help to identify the man.

“What appeared to be a white courier style van pulled up outside the clinic and a man of Asian appearance dumped the dog in a box in the foyer,” she said.

“He then went out to his vehicle and sped off.”

She said the dog appeared to have burns to most of its body and other injuries.

Noranda vets gave the dog emergency treatment before being taken to Balcatta Vets for specialist care, but it was euthanised.

The dog was wearing a distinctive blue collar with brown paw prints.

“Failure to provide vet treatment is a serious offence,” Ms Swift said.
