ECO fashion designer Mariana Kirova is hoping to attract a full-house at the City of Bayswater’s first eco fashion workshop this month.

Ms Kirova will be conducting her ‘Refashioning Your Clothing’ workshop at Morley Public Library as part of the City’s adult learning workshops.

The workshops focuses on clever tricks on how to up-cycle old clothing and update wardrobes.

Ms Kirova said she would present statistics and ways people could refashion their clothes at the workshop.

“We have lots of clothing that we do not wear in our wardrobe so that is why I am going to present different types of ways they can rework their own clothes from simple mending, altering and going through embellishment,” she said.

“Usually, we already have chosen something of good quality so why throw it away?

“They can up-cycle old clothing into something trendier, suits their figure and that is quality textile.”

Ms Kirova said she would like to cater for more than 20 people.

She said she would be presenting a collection during the Eco Fashion Week Australia held in Fremantle in November.
