Elderly pedestrian fights for life

AN elderly pedestrian struck by a car on Beechboro Road North on Saturday afternoon is in a critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital.

The 83-year-old was crossing from the eastern side of the road to the median strip about 3.45pm when he was hit by a Subaru Impreza sedan travelling south near Incana Place.

He received head and leg injuries and the 21-year-old driver of the Subaru is helping police with inquiries.
