BAYSWATER Police carried out simultaneous drug search warrants at two homes in Embleton this morning.

Bayswater Police, Perth detectives and the canine unit searched a house on Rothbury Street and another on Broun Avenue.

Police rammed open a door at the Rothbury Street address to enter.

Sergeant Nathan Dawe said the warrants came about from public information and police intelligence.

He said it was part of an operation targeting the distribution and sale of illicit drugs in Embleton.

So far, an occupant of the Rothbury house has been charged with cannabis possession with intent to sell or supply.

A Broun Avenue occupant was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
