Julian WrightEastern Reporter

The Town of Bassendean received a $1000 grant from the Council on the Ageing WA after it had finalised its event budget of $4500.

Events will be held over three days during Seniors Week, which runs from November 8 to 15, including a seniors walk, a WAAPA concert and a Melody Club gala day.

Bassendean Walking Group organiser Dawne Power said the group had been involved in the annual event for a long time.

“I have been involved with the group for about 25 years and it had been running for about five years before I joined,” she said.
