UPDATE: A Balga roofer has been left without his tools and work vehicle.
Meigo Albrecht woke this morning to his Volvo on fire at the front of his Birchley Crescent home.
He told Community News he arrived home from work late the previous day and left his wallet, passport and driver’s licence in the car. They were destroyed in the blaze.

“Meigo and his girlfriend are absolutely devastated and under shock at the moment,” the firend said.
“Both of them are such lovely, nice and polite persons and we can’t comprehend why anyone would want to harm them.
“My natural instinct was to help them as soon as I heard the news.”

EARLIER: FIREBUGS have caused havoc in Balga this morning.
A vehicle was set alight on the front verge of a Birchley Crescent house after 5.30am.
Two fires were then lit farther along the road in bushland at Celebration Park. Firefighters have extinguished the blazes, and the owner of the vehicle told Channel 7 it was not insured and that he had lost work tools.
Meanwhile, the Arson Squad is investigating a fire overnight at a barber shop in Beach Road, Malaga.
It caused about $100,000 damage, Firefighters were called to the blaze about 12.30am.
