UPDATE: A Balga roofer has been left without his tools and work vehicle.

Meigo Albrecht woke this morning to his Volvo on fire at the front of his Birchley Crescent home.

He told Community News he arrived home from work late the previous day and left his wallet, passport and driver’s licence in the car. They were destroyed in the blaze.

Meigo (24) came to Australia from Estonia two years ago. A friend has set up a GoFundMe page.

“Meigo and his girlfriend are absolutely devastated and under shock at the moment,” the firend said.

“Both of them are such lovely, nice and polite persons and we can’t comprehend why anyone would want to harm them.

“My natural instinct was to help them as soon as I heard the news.”

If anyone can help him get back on his feet or with tools, got to his GoFundMe page.
